Meet Our Staff
Greg Strong
Owner
I’m Greg, the owner of Top of the Bay Pet Lodge. In 1989 I flew from upstate NY, where I was raised, to look at purchasing what was then Belle Kennels. I fell in love with the area and followed through with the purchase. I am a professional show dog handler and have traveled throughout the country exhibiting show dogs for our clients. We attend approximately 140 shows each year and travel with an average of 10 to 20 dogs. Over the decades it’s been an honor to service our local public with all their pet care needs. I have had the privilege to meet and work with some of the best dog parents and their amazing dogs. My staff and I take pride in providing the “Ultimate Pet Care” for all our 4-legged guests. That’s what makes my job so easy and not feel like work at all!
Annie
Show Assistant
Hi, my name is Annie. I am from South Korea, and am working as a show assistance for Greg Strong, the owner of the Top of the Bay Pet Lodge. Since 2018, I have been a member of the AKC Registered Handlers Apprentice program. My family always had dogs so I basically grew up with them and cannot live without one. When I was in college I fell in love with Alaskan Malamutes and started to show and breed them. Also, while in Korea I bred and showed Pomeranians. I am continuing to breed Poms while living and working in the States. Please visit my website, Diamond Dust Pomeranians. My talent for showing dogs was soon recognized, and I was hired to show dogs for other people. That gave me a lot of experience and opportunities to get to know many different breeds. Long story short, all those experiences made me who I am now and allowed me the opportunity to use my skills here at Top of the Bay. I am blessed to work in a pet-priority facility surrounded by wonderful co-workers who are dedicated to their work caring for all the animals at at Top of the Bay Pet Lodge. You might not see me very often at the kennel as I am often at dogs shows taking care of our show clients dogs and assisting Greg Strong. Now I am a proud AKC Registered Handler Apprentice, as well as a caretaker for all the dogs at Top of the Bay Pet Lodge and occasional pet groomer. Thank you for entrusting us to take care of your precious furry family! We do a lot of “hands-on” work with them so they feel like here is their second home.
Arvin
Kennel Manager
Hi, I’m Arvin. I started work at Top of the Bay Pet Lodge in November 2013. I am a kennel manager, property manager, whelping service manager and a dog trainer. My journey with dogs began at a young age when my family adopted our first dog. In 2001, I moved to the United States of America from the Philippines to work for a breeder of Field Spaniels and took care of 30 Field Spaniels and helped whelping and raising puppies. When the breeder passed away, I was blessed to have a great opportunity to use my skills at the Top of the Bay Pet Lodge, which has been more than 6 years now. I have 20 years of dog care and management experiences, including 15 years of whelping and raising puppies. It’s been almost 7 years working as a dog trainer here at Top of the Bay and I love my work. We all take care of the dogs as if they were family members.
Kelly
Groomer
Hello, my name is Kelley R. I’m one of the groomers here at Top of the Bay Pet Lodge. I have been in the grooming industry for about ten years and have been expanding my skill set to best meet everyone’s personal needs. I really enjoy my job as dog groomer and find it very rewarding to both help the dogs and their owners. It brings me much joy to see the dog feeling and looking good. Seeing the happy reaction on the owners’ face is more than enough satisfaction. I enjoy working at Top of the Bay as it is a nice atmosphere, fast paced, and I’m always learning. I hope that I’m blessed to provide many more clients exceptional grooming for their dogs over the years to come.
Kody (Kennel Assistant)
Hello, my name is Kody C. I’m one of the kennel assistants here at Top of the Bay Pet Lodge. I’m excited to be beginning my career here. I really enjoy my job as a kennel assistant and find it a great responsibility to be trusted with your dogs. I take this role very seriously and do my best to ensure all your dogs have a happy and healthy stay. Ever since I was young, I always had a dog by my side and enjoy both big and small dogs. I came to Top of the Bay to learn how to train dogs for obedience and learn what it is like working at a dog show. I look forward to helping and satisfying your pets’ needs as I continue my journey here.
Se Won (Show Dog Manager)
Hello, I’m Se Won. I have been involved in the dog show world since I was a high school student in Korea. I started to breed and show Papillons there as a small hobby responsible breeder. I am not actively breeding dogs any longer but still my heart is with dogs. I enjoy watching dog shows as well as helping Greg and Annie at certain dog shows. I’ve known Annie ever since I started showing my dogs in Korea, and when Annie moved to the States and started working for Greg Strong, I went to visit them at the dog show in New York where I used to live. That was the beginning of my journey as a part time dog show assistant for Greg and Annie. Now I decided to move to Maryland to get more involved with Top of the Bay Pet Lodge. I really enjoy taking care of all the dogs staying here. My new role as Show Dog Manager, is to make sure all the show dogs staying here in long term care are taken care of for their individual needs, as well as all the boarders and day care furry friends. I enjoy all different kinds of breeds that we don’t really have at dog shows in Korea and learn something new every day. I love to learn new things, so I never get bored! I am happy to be on board at Top of the Bay Pet Lodge, and will continue to make sure all your pets have a happy stay with us.
